Concept synthesis

Using the organic shapes of mushrooms and fungi as inspiration. The light is designed to sit in harmony with the surrounding trees and wildlife.

WayLight

A renewable light solution designed to use wind energy to generate power, to be used in public parks. Helping to increase safety in the park and the number of commuters using the park after dark.

Three blades help the light to spin in the wind, charging the battery to power the light.

The WayLight is attached to the tree branch using webbing

Using a 350W 36V motor, attached to a solar controller and a 12V battery pack, the light is able to be powered completely off wind energy.

WayLight is designed to be easy to take apart and reassemble.
